The competition of the first stage of the Cup of Ukraine on Thai Boxing Muay Thai – IFMA took place in Odessa on January 27-30, 2022. Mykhailo Serdiuk, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Construction and Land Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", successfully debuted in the "adults" category and became a gold medalist. The athlete won two convincing victories in the confrontations with experienced opponents, demonstrating excellent results, zeal and iron will to win. The victory was a pass for the European Championship in Thai boxing as part of the national team of Ukraine, the competition of which will be held from 13 to 20 February 2022 in Istanbul (Turkey).
The athlete is trained by an experienced mentor Zurab Abdulaiev on the basis of the club "Legion gym", whose disciples have repeatedly become winners and prize-winners of competitions of various levels.

Earlier, students of Poltava Polytechnic won the World Thai Boxing Championship, and Mykhailo Serdiuk won first place at the WAKO Kickboxing World Cup.
