From September 28 to October 8, the Thai Boxing World Championship among juniors and youth was held in Kemer, Turkey.
1,078 athletes from 77 countries took part in the world competition, among them Mykhailo Serdiuk, a student of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Candidate for Master of Sports in kickboxing, two-time champion of Europe and the world, champion of the European Universities Games 2022, multiple champion of Ukraine.
The Polytechnic athlete triumphed among participants less than 23 years of age. In the weight category up to 54 kilograms, he won three matches, and finished the final prematurely.

Misha has already won the title of champion of the European Universities Games 2022, joined the Ukrainian national team, and two years ago he won bronze among juniors in the weight category up to 54 kg at the Thai Boxing World Championship. And finally he achieved his goal – he won gold and stepped onto the podium as an absolute winner.
In his honour, the National Anthem of Ukraine sounded and the Ukrainian flag was raised! Once again the world will learn about our strongest nation!

Previously, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management Mykhailo Serdiuk became a medallist of the World Thai Boxing Championship, a champion of the European Universities Games 2022, a bronze medallist of the World Cup of Martial Arts among students and a champion of Ukraine in Muay Thai boxing among young people, and the Minister of Education and Science congratulated the students of the Polytechnic – the winners of the European Universities Games 2022, the students of the Poltava Polytechnic were awarded for their sports achievements.
Recently, students of the Polytechnic won the World Cup in football among athletes with hearing impairments.
