During one academic semester from September 2021 to February 2022, Yehor Riabokin, a student majoring in "International Economic Relations" at the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", studied at the Polish University. The student shared his impressions of living and studying abroad as well as his plans for the future.

"My long-held dream came true with Poltava Polytechnic, because I have long wanted to study abroad, and thanks to the Erasmus+ program and the opportunities provided by my home university, I can study at the same time at the Bialystok University of Technology. The academic mobility program covers a period from September 2021 to February 2022. For me personally, this is a great opportunity to study and practice in my chosen profession, gaining international experience, to expand my worldview, and the level of foreign language proficiency. In addition, living far from home, in another European country, are incredible adventures and fantastic experiences that helped me really "boost my skills", – said the participant of the Erasmus+ academic exchange program Yehor Riabokin. After successfully completing his studies at a Polish Partner University, he will continue his studies in the chosen specialty at Poltava Polytechnic.

National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" has a number of agreements on fruitful scientific and educational cooperation and partnership with leading European universities, in particular with Bialystok Polytechnic (Republic of Poland). The history of the partnership began with one of the leading Polish universities in 2014, when an agreement on international cooperation was signed with the Rector of Bialystok Polytechnic, according to which more than 20 university students were sent to study at Bialystok Polytechnic under the mobility program.

As part of a fruitful bilateral partnership, Poltava Polytechnic scientists held many joint scientific events, including ones devoted to innovations in economics; exchanged creative management cases at an international conference in Bialystok, and the university's rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Bialystok University of Technology.

For many students and graduates of Poltava Polytechnic, the academic exchange program was the first major step in adulthood, allowed to become more independent, taught to adapt to a new environment and communicate with people of completely different views and preferences. In addition, Erasmus+ is another opportunity to improve your foreign languages proficiency by communicating with native speakers. The story of Erasmus+ participant Yehor Riabokin is a great example of the synergistic effect of combining excellent professional knowledge provided by the university with opportunities and positive motivation. Previously, a graduate of Poltava Polytechnic combined studies in Poltava and Germany, future rehabilitation therapists and artists took part in a Polish-Ukrainian educational project, and lecturers and students of the University and College participated in the Erasmus+ project in Turkey, shared their experience in academic mobility programs.

Erasmus+ is a program for active, purposeful student youth, who are able to optimally combine successful studying and professional activities, strive to obtain higher education at the European level.
