Students of Poltava Polytechnic receive personalized scholarships from DTEK Oil&Gas

Five students from National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” have been awarded scholarships from DTEK Oil&Gas. The young people will receive a personalized scholarship for the semester for their high academic achievements, active scientific work, and desire to develop Ukraine’s energy sector.

On September 2, 2025, a landmark event took place at Poltava Polytechnic: Ihor Shchurov, CEO of DTEK Oil&Gas LLC and member of the University’s Supervisory Board, solemnly presented personalized scholarships to students of the structural divisions of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”: the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas and Professional College of Oil and Gas, who were the winners of the competitive selection process.

Approximately 40 applications from motivated young people were submitted for selection for DTEK Oil&Gas LLC scholarship program. After several stages, the competition committee of highly qualified specialists selected five finalists who demonstrated high academic achievements, active participation in scientific projects, and true leadership.

The winners who will receive incentive scholarships from DTEK Oil&Gas are:

Bohdan Bielianskyi – specialty 185 Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology;

Artem Diachenko – specialty 185 Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology;

Vladyslav Yaremenko – specialty 103 Earth Sciences;

Yevhenii Kononenko – specialty 184 Mining;

Vladyslav Martynenko – specialty 185 Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology.

These are not just scholarships.

Ihor Shchurov, CEO of DTEK Oil&Gas LLC, together with Volodymyr Onyshchenko, President of Poltava Polytechnic, and Volodymyr Hrymaniuk, HR Training Manager, presented certificates to the winners of the scholarship program.

The President of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Volodymyr Onyshchenko thanked CEO Shchurov for more than ten years of cooperation, congratulated him on the twentieth anniversary of DTEK Oil&Gas’s successful operations in Ukraine, and presented him with a letter of appreciation as a reliable partner and friend of Poltava Polytechnic for many years of fruitful cooperation, a significant contribution to the development of the University’s modern laboratory facilities, improving the quality of practical training for students, expanding opportunities for dual education for students majoring in oil and gas, and promoting active dialogue between education and business.

The scholarship program has proven its effectiveness, so the partners have decided to extend it for the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. Polytechnic students are actively participating in the new selection process, so the success story is just beginning!
