On November 15-26, 2025, Tokyo hosted the 25th Summer Games for athletes with hearing impairments. Among the sports was karate, where athletes compete in both formal exercises (kata) and bouts (kumite, team competitions).

The competition featured students of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”. Inna Prychyna, a student of 102-FS group of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, won third place in individual kata karate and also helped the team secure a bronze medal in team kata.

Kateryna Bardysh, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas, demonstrated fighting spirit and mastery: she won two bronze medals in individual kumite and, as part of the national team, claimed a silver medal in team kumite.

Such results are proof that Poltava Polytechnic supports not only academic but also athletic talents.

We congratulate the athletes of Poltava Polytechnic on their medals and wish them new victories and outstanding performances for Ukraine!

It should be recalled that a student of Poltava Polytechnic is the IFMA European champion in Muay Thai!
