The new regulations of lockdown zones will be in act from October 5. The decision was made by the State Commission of Technical and Ecological Safety and Emergency Situations today.
The “orange zone” limitations state that:
- the activity of accommodation services (hostels, touristic camps etc, except hotels) is prohibited;
- the activity of entertainment establishments, restaurants is prohibited at nighttime;
- planed hospitalization is prohibited;
- the admission of children to recreation establishments is not allowed;
- holding mass events is limited to 1 person per 10 square meters and no more than 220 people total.
To follow the legislative regulations concerning the anti-pandemic measures and civil health safety, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and its subdivisions (Poltava Oil and Gas College and Myrhorod Art and Industrial College named after M. V. Hohol) have switched to the online learning format.
Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko emphasized that the university administration is especially concerned about creating a safe environment for both students and the staff of the university. But the everyday statistics shows that the number of people infected with the Coronavirus is growing rapidly; the city has been included to the “orange zone”, and the doctors have been adding more hospital beds. That is why it is better to make this step despite the effective system of anti-epidemic measures created at university. We should not expose ourselves to this danger.
In accordance with the decrees of our university concerning the organization of education process during the quarantine and using online learning technologies for distanced education, the classes will be held according to the schedule with the online learning technologies, could services and video calls.
Such a format of education process will stay in force until October 31, 2020.
