Studying During Lockdown: Safe Conditions Created For Students

Having analyzed the statistics of the rapid speed of coronavirus spreading in Ukraine, the administration of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” defined the safest possible studying conditions as the main priority in the studying process, as well as ensuring its continuity and introduction at high-level educational standards.

From September 15, the university will switch to the mixed form of educational process. The Academic Board made the decision on changes in educational process organization in the academic year of 2020-2021 on September 11.

The mixed form will be realized by combining the intramural studying with different forms of digital means, such as the Moodle platform. This will have an additional advantage, the availability of resources at any time, and, most importantly, quick feedback form the participants of the educational process.

The first- and fifth-year students will go to their classes according to their schedule. The students of 2-4 years will switch to distance learning for two weeks, using the university platform for distance learning (dist.nupp.edu.ua) and Zoom. Check the university website at the end of every week for any change.

“The Academic Board approved the changes in the educational process schedule. This problem was discussed considering the lockdown limitations that influence directly the organization of the education process, and the epidemic situation in Poltava region. The university administration is flexible in terms of these challenges; we are not afraid to be responsible for making the decisions, especially, when the health of students, teachers and workers of the university is in question,” the Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko commented.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” actively reacts to the challenges of today, introducing the measures necessary for safe education process.
