The academic staff of Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" is actively involved in the successful implementation of international scientific and educational projects, sharing effective practical cases of teaching specialised disciplines in the conditions of difficult challenges of today. Recently, Polytechnic scientists shared with Romanian partners effective cases of teaching in a pandemic and martial law, and Polytechnic students shared their experience of studying in a pandemic and martial law.
On 18 October, 2023, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages of Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Korol held a master class "Team Teaching with Future English Teachers: Creating Conditions for Positive Learning and Assessment Experience in the Context of the Social and Emotional Paradigm of Learning" for English teachers from all over the world.
The scientific and educational event took place as part of a series of webinars organised by the participants of the international professional exchange project TESOL Faculty United for Ukraine with the support of the Regional Office for English Language Learning at the US Embassy in Ukraine and the Childhood Education International Professional Development Centre (USA).
During the masterclass, its participants, experts in English language teaching methods from around the world, reviewed the main models of team-based English teaching and identified their prospects for use in the training of future foreign language teachers.
Tetiana Korol, a lecturer of Poltava Polytechnic, shared effective practical cases of team-based English teaching with the students of Secondary Education (English and a Second Foreign Language) within the framework of the Mentor School and the Summer Language Camp, which are successfully operating at the leading classical university of our country.
At the end of the event, the participants shared their positive impressions and agreed on further scientific and educational cooperation.
Earlier, a professor of philology took part in an international project on modern methods of teaching German, and a researcher from a partner university in London shared effective professional cases with young people and teachers of the Polytechnic.
