On May 13, 2022, during a meeting of the Government, a resolution was approved to amend some resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers on the settlement of academic mobility. The act defines the procedure for exercising the right to academic mobility, the procedure for passing, recognizing and crediting the results of academic mobility for Ukrainian participants in the framework of international cooperation in the field of education, science and innovation.
The implementation of this procedure under martial law will guarantee the right to safe education of students, who have been forced to leave their place of residence, will facilitate their return to Ukraine after the end or termination of martial law and will officially allow crediting the results of such training after returning to their institution of permanent residence. Also, the implementation of the procedure will guarantee the right to safe working conditions of scientific as well as scientific and pedagogical workers, which will support the intellectual potential of Ukraine, as it will ensure the preservation of the position at the main place of work for up to two years.
The document provides for all stages of academic exchanges implementation: preparation for participation in academic mobility programs, implementation of such a program, activities after completion of the program, recognition of the results of participation in academic mobility programs.
Thus, for Ukrainians receiving professional (professional and technical), professional, higher education, degree seekers, pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers favorable conditions will be created for conducting scientific researches in the world’s best laboratories and research centers, increasing the level of theoretical and practical training, professional skills of participants in academic mobility, etc.
It should be recalled that this year foreign students will be able to enter higher education institutions of Ukraine.
