New talents and stars of dance art will be taught by experienced coaches whose names are widely known not only in the city and region, but also far beyond the borders of our country – Petro and Vitalii Horhol, Master of Sports of Ukraine, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Nataliia Rosenko, star coach Oleksandr Haidash.
The head of the separate division of the All-Ukrainian public organization “Sports Student’s Union” in Poltava region, the head of the Ukrainian Federation of Student Sports in Poltava region, the Rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko visited to congratulate on a significant event in the life of the faculty and to determine the priority directions of the scientific and educational activities of the new department, noting the wide range of favourable conditions created by the university for the full development of another prestigious specialty.
“Our university is constantly in the dynamics of development, we are moving forward, opening new areas of training, forming new educational programs.
We remember our history, we respect traditions, but now we are facing a new stage and new opportunities in the vision of the development of Yuri Kondratyuk Classical University.
Such a decision became a worthy continuation of those glorious traditions that prevailed in the former Institute of Noble Girls. Today, I am pleased to state the fact that our joint plans to create such a powerful Department of Choreography and Sports Types of Dance have become a reality!
During the meeting, the department discussed in more detail the features of training under the new educational program “Choreography”, the great opportunities created at the university for the comprehensive development of modern student youth, shared the most ambitious plans and creative ideas.
The starting conditions for the development of a new specialty have been created excellent, now it remains to fill our cooperation with hands-on matters. I know that everything will definitely work out! Let’s move forward, at the pace of a waltz, towards Victory!” – commented the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
According to the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lina Rybalko, the plans created in such a powerful academic and management tandem will certainly be successfully implemented in the near future.
“As the youngest structural subdivision of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports is constantly developing. Currently, as you can see, we are opening a new department, which will be located in a state-of-the-art sports building. The educational program and curriculum have already been developed and approved, therefore, on the Day of Acquaintance with the University, April 22, applicants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the conditions of admission as well as the material and technical base of this specialty,” – commented the Head of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports.
Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Arts of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Sports Dance of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Petro Horhol thanked the administration of the university and the team of like-minded people for their trust and announced the debut event in the life of the department, which will soon take place at the university – on April 29, dedicated to the International Day of Dance, the department organizes a large-scale sports and ballroom dance competition for the Rector’s Cup of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
“Dance art in Poltava is already a whole era, it is history. The Poltava dance school is already well known in the world, many dancers are currently presenting our country in Great Britain, the United States of America, and Poland. The coaches who will work at our department are top specialists, people who understand dance, love their work, and cheer for it. I promise you full support, a positive working atmosphere and we will move towards new victories together!” – said the Head of the Department Petro Horhol.
During the meeting at the Department, scientific and pedagogical staff discussed in more detail the peculiarities of training under the new educational program “Choreography”, the opportunities created at the university for the comprehensive development of modern student youth, ambitious plans and creative ideas.
It should be recalled that the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Dance Union” has repeatedly held charity dance festivals on the basis of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
Recently, the Rector met with the newly elected members of the Student Parliament, and representatives of the Polytechnic became the first Ukrainians participating in the academic mobility program in Greenland.
