The Government of Ukraine has approved the Regulations on the international competition of scientific, scientific and technical research results as well as innovative projects "Paton Bridge", which aims at creating favorable conditions for attracting young people to scientific, scientific and technical as well as innovative activities; deepening Ukraine's integration into the global scientific and innovation-entrepreneurial community; positioning Ukraine as a state with powerful intellectual and entrepreneurial potential; increasing its investment attractiveness.
Authors of scientific projects are invited to participate in the competition, who will present the results of applied research and experimental, innovative developments at different stages of readiness. Participants will receive comprehensive support and assistance in the further development and implementation of projects; will be able to find investors; actively implement technology and researches in the real sector of the economy. This initiative will help increase the competitiveness of the national economy and the emergence of products with a high degree of added value on the Ukrainian market.
The competition will be held in seven areas:
- digital economy and society;
- resource-efficient economy and "green" growth;
- bioeconomics, natural resources;
- health of the nation;
- advanced industrial technologies;
- culture, creativity, inclusive society;
- security and defense.
The winners will receive a cash prize:
- 1st place – 100 thousand dollars;
- 2nd place – 50 thousand dollars;
- 3d place – 25 thousand dollars;
- prizes on behalf of outstanding national scientists in the seven above-mentioned areas – 10 thousand dollars each.
It is planned that the competition "Paton Bridge" will be annual. Information on the deadlines for submission of applications will be posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
It should be recalled that until February 3, 2022, the selection for the regional competition of scientific and innovative projects continues, students on a contractual basis can win a grant for tuition fees, admission of applications for participation in the competition "The country will not make it itself" continues, admission of projects for grants of the program for international development "Dream and Act" is opened, a competition of Ukrainian-Israeli research projects is announced, and students are invited to virtual construction competition.
