The President of Ukraine awarded Olena Filonych the honorary title of "Honored Economist of Ukraine" for her significant personal contribution to the development of national education, preparing qualified specialists, and for many years of fruitful pedagogical activity as well as high professionalism.
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Filonych is a graduate of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” in 2008 with a degree in “Finance”. She began her professional career as an economist of the 1st category of the Department of Economics, Financing and Scientific Forecasting of University Financial and Economic Activities and became the Chief Accountant of the University.
She began her career with successful postgraduate studies. And now she is a representative of the scientific school “Security-oriented economic management: state, region, enterprise”, supervisor and founder of which is the rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko. Since 2012 she has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation. In 2013 she became a laureate of the Prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists.
Since 2015, she has been appointed Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Economic Development of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
For merits in the implementation of state policy in the field of national education and science, many years of diligent work, personal contribution to the preparing of highly qualified specialists and scientists, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activities, high professionalism Olena Filonych was presented departmental awards of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine – Citation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2016), Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2018), Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2019), Badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “For scientific and pedagogical achievements”, as well as for merits to the Ukrainian people with the Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2018).
It should be recalled that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi awarded the Head of the Department of Management and Logistics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Olha Komelina with the honorary title of “Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine”, and on occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine awarded Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Serhii Pichuhin with the honorary title of “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine”.
