From October 10 to 12, the traditional annual mini-football tournament “Commonwealth Cup” was held at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, the purpose of which is to unite scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the university in one team. Over the course of three days, 7 teams from the structural subdivisions of the Poltava Polytechnic competed for the championship and the cup of the tournament.

That’s the end of our competition, in a bright spectacular game, the strongest team won. Sincere gratitude to all participants for the incredible emotions and harmonious team play on the football field,” – congratulated the athletes the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lina Rybalko.
According to the results of the competition, the winners of the tournament were:
- I place – Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law;
- II place – Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports;
- III place – Poltava College of Oil and Gas.
Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Lina Rybalko awarded certificates to the winners of the tournament and presented the transitional “Commonwealth Cup” to the winning team.
Last year, the team of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won the “Commonwealth Cup”.
Recently, in memory of Yevhen “Mali” Brach, a regional physical culture and health event was held on the basis of the Polytechnic, a student of the Poltava Polytechnic Mykhailo Serdiuk became the world champion in Thai boxing, and the university held a regional championship in table tennis.
