Two Polytechnic scientists win the All-Ukrainian Contest “Young Scientist of the Year-2024”

Scientists of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Iryna Levchenko and Nataliia Bondar became the winners of the All-Ukrainian Contest “Young Scientist of the Year-2024”, organised by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The representatives of the multidisciplinary classical university won in the nominations “International Economic Relations” and “Young Methodist of the Year in the Field of Social Sciences and Humanities”.

Two Polytechnic scientists win the All-Ukrainian Contest “Young Scientist of the Year-2024”

In order to recognise the achievements of young scientists in various fields of knowledge, the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the annual All-Ukrainian competition “Young Scientist of the Year-2024”. Each year, the jury members recognise the best scientists from higher education institutions whose significant achievements contribute to the dynamic development and promotion of youth and academic science in the educational and innovative environment.

Scientists of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism Iryna Levchenko and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Nataliia Bondar won the annual All-Ukrainian Contest “Young Scientist of the Year-2024”, organised by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Iryna Levchenko won in the “International Economic Relations” nomination, and Nataliia Bondar was the best in the “Young Methodist of the Year in Social Sciences and Humanities” nomination.

It should be noted that the nominees’ scientific achievements were submitted based on the results of 2023. According to the results of the Contest, 1 (one) winner (laureate) was determined in each nomination, and a total of 100 winners (laureates) were awarded by the members of the highly qualified jury.

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the All-Ukrainian competition “Young Scientist of the Year-2024” will be held on 18 May at the Kyiv House of Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The “Young Scientist of the Year” competition is an important initiative aimed at recognising, celebrating and promoting the achievements of young scientists in various fields and areas of activity, promoting interdisciplinary approaches and cooperation between industries, with the main goal of supporting young scientists.

Launched in 2021 for the achievements of 2020, this competition has become a tradition and provides an opportunity for masters, postgraduate students, doctoral students and young researchers to showcase their abilities and receive well-deserved recognition. Participants have the opportunity to present their research and work in such diverse fields as natural and mathematical sciences, science and technology as well as engineering, agriculture and food, healthcare, military sciences and civil security, management and administration, service sector as well as social and humanitarian fields, to compete for valuable awards and the opportunity to publish their results in leading scientific journals.

Recently, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law became a scholarship holder of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, three Polytechnic students became winners of the scholarship of the President of Ukraine, and five students received certificates for nominal scholarships from Ukrnafta.
