Two polytechnic students are to receive scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has published a list of students of Ukrainian higher education institutions who in the 2022-2023 academic year will receive academic scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for high achievements in education and scientific activities. Among the scholarship recipients are students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Inna Honcharova and Taras Kisil.

Two polytechnic students are to receive scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated September 27, 2022 No. 861 "On the appointment of academic scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to students of professional and higher education for the 2022/2023 academic year", 172 students of Ukrainian higher education institutions will continue during the academic year to receive academic scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for high educational achievements as well as achievements in scientific and research activities. Each institution of higher education independently selected and submitted candidates, the relevant collegial commission was engaged in reviewing the submitted documents and approving candidates of scholarship holders. 

Among the scholarship holders are students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic":

Inna Honcharova – student of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, 4th year of specialty 023 "Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration"

Taras Kisil – student and head of the Student Council of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas, 3rd year of the specialty "Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies".

In accordance with the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of June 5, 1996 No. 226/96 – VR "On the establishment of academic scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to graduates of professional and higher education" (as amended), paragraph 5 of the Procedure for assigning academic scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to those receiving professional and higher education, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated May 5, 2022 No.411, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on June 21, 2022 under No.682/38018, scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to students of higher education institutions will be paid annually throughout 2022/2023 the academic year at the scholarship holder's place of study, at the expense of the funds provided for in the general fund of the estimate of the higher education institution for the payment of academic scholarships.

Scholarships for students of higher education institutions were established by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1996 with the aim of morally and materially encouraging the acquisition of higher education by students of higher educational institutions who have shown special success in studies and scientific work. The monetary amount of the nominal scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the 2022/2023 academic year for students of higher education institutions of the III-IV level of accreditation who study at the educational qualification level "bachelor" or "master" is 4.4 thousand hryvnias.

The academic staff and student community of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" sincerely congratulates the scholarship holders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and wishes them new achievements in education, significant achievements in research activities and professional success!

Last year, two Polytechnic students became scholarship holders of the Parliament.

It should be recalled that the Academic Council of the Poltava Polytechnic University supported the candidacies of four young scientists for obtaining nominal state scholarships.

Earlier, three university students and a college student received personal scholarships from the Poltava City Council.
