Ukraine starts receiving support from the countries of the European Higher Education Area

On March 1, 2022, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet appealed to the Bologna Follow-Up Group and key structures of the European Higher Education Area to exclude the Russian Federation from institutional and intergovernmental relations:

  • European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR);
  • European University Association (EUA);
  • European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA);
  • European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE);
  • Networks of National Information Centers for Academic Recognition and Mobility (ENIC-NARIC Networks).

“So far, the government representatives of Denmark, the Netherlands and Poland have already expressed their absolute support for Ukraine. We are grateful to the colleagues of these countries in the European Higher Education Area for their strong support and clear position. We also hope for the support of other members of the Bologna Process and a joint movement forward, on the principles of democracy and the rule of law,” – noted Serhii Shkarlet.
