On 6 June 2024, a meeting of the sectoral competition commission of the second round of the International Competition of Student Research Papers in the speciality 073 Management was held at the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. Due to the imposition of martial law and active hostilities in our country, the event was held in the format of the final scientific and practical Zoom conference, which did not prevent future professionals from presenting their own developments and thorough research.

Purposeful and positively motivated students from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Georgia, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, China and the United States of America actively participated in the competition and presented their scientific achievements. A total of 92 research papers from 126 participants from 55 higher education institutions were submitted to the highly qualified jury chaired by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Business Administration, Marketing and Tourism of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University Iryna Trunina.

The scientific paper “Prediction of Crisis Phenomena in the Activities of Oil and Gas Industry Enterprises and Assessment of Their Possible Consequences (supported by the Erasmus+ Programme within the Jean Monnet Erasmus+ Project “Reforming the Ecological, Energy, Economic and Financial Spheres of Ukraine in the Context of European Integration” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”)” by student of speciality 076 Enterprise, Trade and Exchange Activity of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Nataliia Chornovol, became a bronze medallist at the International Student Research Paper Competition and was awarded a third-degree diploma.

The research was carried out under the supervision of Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Kseniia Chychulina with the involvement of a foreign partner, PhD, Academic Doctor of Business Management of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) Besic Bauchadze.

It should be noted that every year, students under the guidance of the teachers of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing of Poltava Polytechnic gain a number of victories at national and international competitions of scientific papers, which is a confirmation of the effective international cooperation as well as became the basis for starting new scientific and educational projects.

It should be recalled that recently, university students took part in the international scientific competition “Black Sea Science” by preparing their own scientific developments, and a student of our university became a silver medallist of the international scientific competition by researching the prospects of developing “dark” tourism in Ukraine.
