Another historic event took place in the life of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – one of the best multidisciplinary classical universities in our country became a participant in the “Wi-Fi in shelters” initiative launched by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the only university in the Poltava region, which will have Wi-Fi 6.0 access points.
Now, even during an air raid alert, the university will have excellent security conditions and reliable communication, which will allow a high-quality educational process and training of specialists for the dynamic post-war recovery of our country.
It is no coincidence that on the World Vyshyvanka Day, symbolic for Ukraine, Poltava Polytechnic was visited by a representative of the “Educational Initiatives Foundation” from the partner company and the Eastern Regional Management of LLC “IT-Integrator”, a Polytechnic graduate Valentyn Herasymovych, who talked with the scientific and pedagogical team of the university and discussed directions for further cooperation in the field of creating a comfortable, and most importantly, safe scientific, educational and professional space.
“It is a pleasure to state the fact that in the era of dynamic transformation in Ukraine 4.0, our university is the only higher education institution in the Poltava region that has Wi-Fi 6.0 access points!
We are glad that Poltava Polytechnic will be able to create an even better scientific, educational and creative environment for talented student youth and teachers, having supported the much-needed initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In order to ensure network coverage of all university shelters, the company Huawei Ukraine transferred the latest modern network equipment – Wi-Fi access points, switches, power adapters, which will provide uninterrupted access to the Internet and enable students of the Poltava Polytechnic to gain knowledge as well as maintain contact with their relatives during air raid alarms.
I would like to note that the implementation of this project is primarily aimed at updating the network of universities that implement this project together with Huawei Ukraine with the assistance of the Charitable Organization “Educational Initiatives Foundation”.

Taking care of the safety and quality education of students, we once again confirm the leadership positions of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – an innovative multidisciplinary classical university of our country!” – commented on the importance of the event in the life of a leading higher education institution, Rector of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
Talking to the scientific and pedagogical team of the Poltava Polytechnic, the representative of the “Educational Initiatives Foundation” from the partner company and the Eastern regional management of LLC “IT-Integrator”, Polytechnic graduate Valentyn Herasymovych said: “I congratulate the entire academic team and personally the Rector of the university Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Onyshchenko on a significant event in the life of the university! As already noted, Poltava Polytechnic became the only higher education institution in the region that immediately picked up the proposed initiative and joined such an important project in the digital transformation processes of the entire country. Thanks to the successfully implemented “Wi-Fi in shelters” program, students and teachers will have the opportunity to obtain quality knowledge, properly conduct the educational process as well as engage in scientific and research activities, even during air raid alarms. And most importantly, they will keep in touch with their relatives who are currently not nearby.
It is especially pleasant for me that I am a graduate of this extraordinary educational institution, so I dream that our program will be useful to my home Alma mater. I am sincerely grateful for the high level of practical training of highly qualified specialists, especially now, when the demand for real professionals in their field will only grow. This is an extremely important aspect of our further cooperation, because the technical potential of our company’s employees must be much higher, and we are actively working on it.”

It should be recalled that Polytechnic will cooperate with the Scientific and Research Institute of Providing Legal Framework for the Innovative Development of National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, the university signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Poltava Regional Employment Centre.
