The humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen and Poltava manufacturers of natural products deliver lunches to IDPs

In May, the delivery of free hot lunches from the World Central Kitchen, which became a partner of “Vitalfood” company, was organized for the IDPs sheltered by Poltava Polytechnic. The Poltava Company prepares hundreds of portions of fresh food every day, and the Poltava Regional Republican (Civil) Solidarity Headquarters promotes the logistics of quality food.

The management of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” contributes in every way to create comfortable conditions for internally displaced persons. Philanthropists recently donated blankets to dormitories where IDPs live, and the university hosted a reception for social security specialists for IDPs. It has recently established a partnership with World Central Kitchen, the world's largest organization to help people affected by wars, natural disasters, pandemics and other emergencies, founded by celebrity chef José Andrés. He has been feeding people in hot spots for over 10 years.

Since the first day of the war, WCK has worked on the Ukrainian-Polish border to help refugees, preparing more than 200,000 servings of food a day. Currently, the activity is scaled up in several regions and in Poltava the producer of natural products is engaged in cooking. Volunteers from the Republican (Civic) Solidarity Headquarters have organized a partnership, helping to work with people affected by the war and in need of support, as well as providing logistics for quality food.

“From the very beginning of the full-scale war, we have been preparing hot lunches for our own territorial defense forces, army, volunteers and, now, for IDPs. Every day we cook portions of delicious and fresh, hot dishes just as home ones. This is necessarily the first course – borshch or soups. The second course – porridge or potatoes, in any case with meat. All ingredients are fresh, purchased daily from local producers. Thanks to the financial support of WCK, it was possible to increase the number of servings and, accordingly, to help even more people who need free food. By joint efforts you can overcome any obstacles!” – commented in the company “Vitalfood” (producers of natural ice cream TM “Vital”, “SCANDAL” and semi-finished products “Good Chef”).

It should be recalled that business partners of Poltava Polytechnic provided humanitarian aid, as well as from the first days of the war the university organized free hot meals for campus residents and later for IDPs.
