The scientific research of the teachers of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation is aimed at studying the problems of translation studies, literary studies, discourse studies, typological and comparative linguistics, and methods of teaching foreign languages. Their results are reflected in scientific publications and presentations at conferences of various levels.
From 2013 to 2019, the department held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Innovative Technologies in the Context of Foreign Language Training"; since 2020, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies" has been held annually.
