The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology actively cooperates with the oil and gas industry organizations of Ukraine. This is evidenced by regular conferences, seminars, workshops and trainings with the companies and the university representatives’ participation.
The department's faculty and students maintain contacts with representatives of oil and gas production and service companies in Ukraine: Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Ukrnafta, DTEK Oil&Gas, Schlumberger Ukraine, Weatherford Ukraine, Burova Technika, Geosynthesis Engineering, Ukrnaukugeocenter, Naukanaftogaz, UkrNDIGas, Poltava Petroleum Company, GeoAlliance Group, Ukrnaftoburinnya, and many others.
With the participation of Ukraine's largest private gas producer DTEK Oil&Gas and Geosynthesis Engineering, the university has created a laboratory of drilling fluids and washing fluids, which is used by the department's specialists in the educational process and research activities.
Representatives of the oil and gas business constantly invite university students for internships and share their experience in the industry. After obtaining a diploma in oil and gas engineering, the graduates of the department have the opportunity to get a job in numerous oil and gas production and service organizations in Poltava and all over Ukraine.
With the participation of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, the largest gas production company in Ukraine, and Schlumberger, the world's largest oil and gas service company, the university opened the most modern 3D modeling and 3D visualization laboratory in Ukraine using the PETREL software package.
