The psychological service of the National University «Yurі Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic» carries out its activities to provide psychological and social support for the educational process of student youth. It is an organic component of the Psychological Service of the education system of Ukraine.
The service in its activities is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, current legislation, including the Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", the Regulation on Psychological Service in the Education System of Ukraine, the order of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine dated 07/02/2009. No. 616 "On Amendments to the Regulation on the Psychological Service of the Education System of Ukraine, the Code of Ethics of the Society of Psychologists of Ukraine and other normative documents.
The main goal of the University Service is psychological support of the educational process, the development and formation of a mature professionally oriented personality of the student under the condition of preserving the psychological health of all participants in the educational process by means of practical psychology and social pedagogy.
University Psychological Service:
Participates in the implementation of educational work aimed at ensuring comprehensive individual development of students, preservation of their full-fledged mental health.
Conducts psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of students, promotes their adaptation to new conditions of the educational process according to the level of mental development.
Develops and implements developmental and correctional programs of educational activities taking into account the individual, gender, and age characteristics of students.
Carries out preventive education of students, prevention of crime, alcoholism and drug addiction, other addictions and bad habits.
Conducts psychological diagnostics and psychological-pedagogical correction of students' deviant behavior.
Forms the psychological culture of students, teaching staff, parents or persons who replace them, advises on psychology and its practical use in the organization of the educational process.
Cares about personal safety and health, as well as about the safety and health of the people around him in the process of performing any work and during his stay on the territory of the University or in another place in the performance of his duties.
