Scientific research work of the Department of International Economics and Marketing

 Teachers conduct research within the scientific directions of the Department, in particular regarding theoretical, methodological and practical aspects: the development of the global economy and international economic relations, management of economic entities in the tourism sphere in the conditions of globalization changes, international innovation and investment activities, European integration processes, foreign economic activity of domestic enterprises, etc.

The Department carries out research works on the following topics:

• “Mechanisms of implementing the strategy of socio-economic development of Ukraine in the conditions of international integration”;

• “Mechanism of managing the tourism sphere under the conditions of global changes”.

The results of the scientific and research work are implemented in production, project practice, regulatory documents and are used in the process of preparing monographs, articles in specialized publications, textbooks and training manuals, during lectures, and dissertation and qualification works.

The lecturers of the Department participate in scientific-theoretical and practical research on behalf of the Poltava regional administration, which are of particular importance for determining the main directions of tourism development of the Poltava region, perform farm contract work on the order of regional enterprises.

In recent years, the teachers of the Department have published more than 200 scientific works, including in foreign specialized publications and in publications registered in international bases (SCOPUS and Web of Science).

It is strategically important for the development of the Department to direct the opportunities and efforts of scientific and pedagogical workers, graduate students, and masters to conduct applied scientific research and commercialize the obtained results.

Since 2014, the Department has been holding the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Management of the Tourism Industry: Methodology and Practice”, which aims to determine the specifics of the process of managing tourist organizations in market conditions and develop practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of tourism industry business entities. The international status of the conference was confirmed by the participation of representatives of scientific schools of Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Croatia, Estonia, and Azerbaijan. Scientists from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, Azerbaijan State Economic University (Azerbaijan), Białystok Polytechnic University (Poland), Politechnika Wrocławska (Poland), ISMA University (Republic of Latvia), University North (Croatia), Odlar Yurdu University (Azerbaijan).

Iryna Novytska and Kateryna Chelembienko became the winners of the youth leadership program “SDG – Ambassadors” from the Center “CSR Development”.

Teachers and students of the Department took part in a joint art project with Poltava museum workers as part of the Days of European Heritage. SCIENTIFIC WORK OF STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS AND TOURISM

The department actively attracts the best students to research work. Students of the specialty “International Economic Relations” and "Tourism" majors, under the guidance of teachers, participate in international, all-Ukrainian and university scientific conferences, all-Ukrainian and regional competitions of scientific student works, all-Ukrainian Olympiads and win prizes.

In recent years, students of the department have received:

2 diplomas of the first degree (2013 and 2017) based on the results of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in natural, technical and humanitarian sciences in the direction of “World economy and international economic relations” Vitko Yuliya and Fedina Olga (Scientific advisor – Doctor of Economics, Prof. Chychkalo-Kondratska I.B.);

first-degree diploma (2019) based on the results of the All-Ukrainian competition for student scientific works in natural, technical and humanitarian sciences in the direction “Current issues of cooperation with the European Union”, Anastasia Vlasyuk (Scientific advisor – Doctor of Economics, Prof. Chychkalo-Kondratska I.B.);

Daria Kondratska became the winner in the II round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the direction “Actual issues of cooperation with the European Union” (2020), science. (Scientific advisor – Doctor of Economics, Prof. Chychkalo-Kondratska I.B.);

second-degree diploma (2014) based on the results of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the direction “World economy and international economic relations” at the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after M. Nesterenko Olga – 2nd degree diploma in the 2nd stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Tourism”;

Yuliya Stryuk - the winner of the II round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the fields of knowledge and specialties in the direction of “Tourism”, 2020.

Andriy Zozuly, a student of the specialty “Tourism”, received a scholarship from the President of Ukraine for his high academic performance and active scientific activity.

In recent years, students of the Department have published more than 120 scientific works in professional publications of Ukraine and other countries.

The “Tourist” club and the “Internationalist” scientific group work on a permanent basis at the Department in accordance with the scientific interests of teachers and students. The topics of the groups’ work concern all the main areas of development of international economic relations and tourism. Future applicants are invited to the meeting of scientific circles. The best results of the work of the circles are published in professional publications, collections of scientific works of masters. Students participate in the department’s farm contract work.
