The academic staff of the department take part in scientific-theoretical and practical researches on behalf of the Poltava regional administration, which are of particular importance for determining the main directions of tourist development of the Poltava region, and execute municipal works at the request of business entities of the region.
The department has initiated the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Research Center for Industrial Development Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Poltava National Technical Yuri KondratyukUniversity, which provides for the implementation of joint research work, preparation of monographs and articles, conferences, teacher training and postgraduate students.
The department carries out research work on the subject: "Market-adapted mechanism of management of the socio-economic system".
Strategically important for the development of the department is the targeting of opportunities and efforts of scientific and pedagogical workers, postgraduates, masters for applied research and commercialization of the results.
New directions of scientific research are being formed, which are connected with the current and new master's programs on the specialty of bachelors "Tourism". Significantly intensified work on the preparation of scientific articles in professional and foreign publications, including students.
Research results are implemented in production, project practice, normative documents and used in the process of preparing textbooks, manuals, conducting lectures, conducting coursework and diploma work.
