As part of the organizational practice, students from the specialty 242 "Tourism" on June 10-15, 2016 visited the travel agency "Bonus Tour", where they were able to get acquainted with the practical activities of the tourist enterprise.
Students had an opportunity to talk with the head Tatyana Ryabchenko and other members of the travel agency.
Teaching classes of students of the specialty "Tourism" take place not only in the framework of mastering the theoretical material, but also in acquiring practical skills.
On September 30, 2015, on the initiative of the department, a tourist take-off took place on the occasion of the World Tourism Day. The purpose of the event was to further develop sport tourism in the Poltava region as an effective means to enhance the comprehensive development of the individual and to promote the healthy lifestyle of students of the specialty "Tourism" of our university.
The main objectives of the event were: promotion and popularization of sports tourism among students; testing and improving the level of technical and tactical skills of students; definition of the strongest teams in the field of sports tourism; promotion of safety of sporting events and campaigns on sports tourism; education of patriotism; ecological education.
The take-off took place on the basis of the Poltava Tourist Camp "Senegal", located in the village Lower Mills
Students of the I-III courses of the specialty "Tourism" with their curators who were divided into three teams took part.
The active program began with the acquaintance of participants with instructors and took place in eight stages.
The first stage is "Parallel Railings".
Two parallel ropes are stretched over the ground (the distance between ropes is 1.6 m, the length of the rope is 35 m). Each participant must go over parallel railing.
The second stage is "Ferry crossing".
The team members themselves divert themselves to the opposite side of the river with a raft and a rope. The number of people on a raft does not exceed 4 people.
The third stage is "Water Pipeline".
Participants of the stage, using plastic pipes, collect a pipeline, which should fill the container with water as soon as possible.
Fourth Stage "Vertical Swing" (Tarzanka).
On a tree branch a rope is fixed, with the help of which participants overcome the fictional gap, the size of which is 3 m. The first participant who overcame the abyss throws the rope next and so until the whole team passes the stage.
The fifth stage of "Zherdiny".
The team with the help of a cable length of 2 m and the bumps (previously fixed by the instructor) overcome the fictional swamp. In the event that the participant stops and falls into the swamp, the passage of the stage, he begins at first.
Sixth stage "Dragon Egg".
Participants of the stage with the help of pre-coupled trainers transfer the tennis ball to a given trajectory.
Seventh stage "Horizontal webbing".
The team members overcome the fictional webbing (pre-tied ropes by instructors) in the sizes 2х2 m, on a web-mounted bells, which in case of touching it ring. After each tapping to the web, the contestant goes through the first stage.
The last, the eighth stage, was the preparation of tourist porridge (Kulish).
At the end of the program for a total result, it was determined the winning team. The winners of the competition were the students of the specialty "Tourism" of the 1st course, which in persistent struggle has won a victory with a slight margin in points. Second place went to the students of the specialty "Tourism" of the 2nd course. And, accordingly, the third place – students of the 3rd course. All participants were awarded with incentive prizes.
After the results of the competition, the students together with the curators and accompanying teachers of the Department have enjoyed the great taste of Kulish.
All participants of the sports festival was a great pleasure from communication and look forward to new interesting tourist events in the University. And with the tourist camp "Senegal" discussed the terms of the contract on cooperation.
