National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" continues to develop educational infrastructure and, even despite the crisis caused by the war, opens new educational and scientific laboratories. From now on, the Scientific School of the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation has its own "Educational Bank" – a new modern educational location that will allow teachers to more clearly demonstrate the work of the banking department and strengthen practical training of students.
"Congratulations to the staff of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law on the opening of a new modern educational location – "Educational Bank"! A powerful scientific school for training financiers, bankers and economists, despite the war, received a new educational laboratory.
We owe the strengthening of the material and technical base of the university to Yurii Vitaliiovych Shliakhovyi, a graduate and now a member of the Supervisory Board and a great professional in the banking sector. It is extremely pleasant that Maryna Mykhailivna Turchenko, who for many years managed the branch of one of the most technologically advanced banks, also agrees to join forces with the Poltava Polytechnic and will transfer all her practical experience to students, help the university administration implement modern information technologies of the banking business. At the same time, we are moving in the direction of opening new educational programs, one of which has already been presented – we opened the "IT-Finance" educational program, which combines computer science, computer engineering, finance, and banking.
National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" is a modern university of great opportunities! All dreams come true at Poltava Polytechnic! We invite you to study!" – commented rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
On the basis of the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation, practical training of financial profile students is conducted, so this educational bank will become the main laboratory for organising practical classes. The educational bank will allow teachers to more clearly demonstrate the work of a real bank branch, form an understanding of the essence and types of banks and banking operations, help students master the methods of conducting basic and progressive types of banking operations and services, strengthen the ability to develop and solve issues of the theory and practice of banking activity in market conditions economy.
"Despite the difficult times for the economy and the banking system, we plan to continue fruitful cooperation with the university, multiplying the achievements we have over almost 20 years. The conditions in the "Educational Bank" are created to strengthen the interrelationship of theoretical and practical training, deepen and systematize students' knowledge by modeling real production situations in real conditions as well as develop practical skills and abilities necessary for professional activities and making independent decisions during work", – noted a member of the Supervisory Board of the university Yurii Shliakhovyi.
The technical design of the educational bank complies with all regulatory documents and requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine, including the cashier’s armored workplace. Each workplace is automated, equipped with personal computers, which allows students to use demo versions of banking programs.
According to scientists of the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation, the "Educational Bank" will become not only a base for mastering the techniques of financial calculations and bank management, but also a space for the formation of a creative and research approach to practical activities. These competencies are highly valued by employers among graduates of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic".
Earlier, scientists-economists discussed the real challenges and threats to the sustainable development of Ukraine under the conditions of martial law.
