Second-year student majoring in "Philology" of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Yuliia Hordiievska became a participant in the youth exchange program Erasmus+ "No climate. No future". Young people from Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Turkey, France, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Lithuania and Poland discussed pressing topics in our time – climate change and environmental pollution.

As part of the project, the exchange participants attended seminars on climate change and global warming, so that young people learned about the threats to the world and the measures that can be taken now to slow down the severe consequences of such a disaster. Each country considered 3R-rules of reasonable consumption – reduce, reuse, recycle.

Every evening there were cultural evenings, during which participants had the opportunity to present the culture, traditions and dishes of their country.

"I express my sincere gratitude to our lecturer – Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Anna Pavelieva, who prepared me to participate in this project and during the meetings of the students’ scientific club "Philology" constantly tells us about a wide range of opportunities of Erasmus+ programs for students," – says a participant of the youth exchange Yuliia Hordiievska

"Participation of students majoring in "Philology" in Erasmus+ youth exchanges is one of the key tasks of the students’ scientific club "Philology", since during such events those receiving higher education have the opportunity not only to master new skills, deepen their knowledge on a particular topic, but also to improve personal, linguistic, cultural, social and civic competence, learn about European values, and find friends from other countries. In addition, participation in such projects helps students become more independent, confident in their abilities and knowledge," – says Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Anna Pavelieva.

Previously, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation participated in the project of youth mobility "From Young to Adult" under the Erasmus+ program, students of the Faculty of Humanities became participants in the online training "Volunteers beyond borders" under the Erasmus+ program, a lecturer of Poltava Polytechnic became a participant of the international academic mobility project for Erasmus+ youth workers "Speak Up, we are Listening", a philology student participated in the Erasmus+ youth exchange project on social stereotypes, and a student of the Faculty of Humanities became a participant in the Erasmus+ youth exchange project on digital skills.
