The structural subdivisions of the university proposed several candidacies for state nominal scholarships for consideration by the Academic Council.

Nataliia Serhiivna Maksiuta – Head of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Support of the Educational Process, Doctor of Philosophy

There were also two candidates for state scholarships for the best young scientists to perpetuate the events of the Revolution of Dignity and honor the feat of the Heroes of Ukraine – Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred:

Oleksandr Ihorovych Laktionov – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Automation of Electronics and Telecommunications

Anna Kostiantynivna Pavelieva – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation

Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Architecture, Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture, Professor Vadym Vadimov presented the achievements of each of the young scientists, and the heads of departments spoke in support of their colleagues.

“Iryna Levchenko is my postgraduate student, successfully defended her thesis. She is a very active young woman in both scientific and social activities. She has more publications than she indicated, choosing the main ones. An active young scientist, who works hard, submits proposals and participates in various projects, works diligently with young people and students. I ask you to support her candidacy, since she really deserves it, because her contribution is quite significant to the development of science, in particular, economic, marketing and international economic relations,” – said the Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism, Professor Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska.

“I am very pleased to introduce Nataliia Maksiuta. This is my student – from undergraduate to postgraduate school. A very purposeful person with whom we have been working for more than 10 years. She perfectly performed all the tasks that were set before her, she has significant achievements,” – emphasized Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Applied Ecology and Nature Management Yurii Holik. Nataliia Maksiuta recently became a laureate of the “Renewable Energy Award”.

On behalf of the Department of Automation of Electronics and Telecommunications, the Head, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksandr Shefer asked to support the candidacy of Oleksandr Laktionov – a young scientist who manages the “Robototechnik” club of the Center for Extracurricular Education of the Poltava City Council, and is actively engaged in scientific activities, career guidance work among the students of the Poltava region, for which he was awarded a scholarship of the Poltava City Council.

Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Anna Aheicheva appealed to the Academic Council to support the candidacy of the leading teacher of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation.

“She is one of the young scientists of the faculty, the head of the students’ scientific club “Philology”. During her work, the teacher uses innovative methods and combines practical work with teaching and scientific activities. Anna Kostiantynivna is a fairly successful and creative teacher and scientist. She engages in research and scientific communication activities, encourages students to participate in youth academic exchanges and international projects. A very worthy candidate,” – emphasized the dean.

By secret ballot, the Academic Council unanimously supported all four candidates.

“Poltava Polytechnic is a powerful scientific institution that prepares young scientists for their professional activities and supports them in every way on the way to high professional achievements. An important element is the encouragement of those achievements that our young colleagues already have, and the determination of their candidacies for obtaining state nominal scholarships and awards.

It was especially nice to hear words of support from senior and experienced colleagues from departments where young people work. The results of the secret ballot were absolutely in favor of young scientists!

I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the team for returning to full-fledged scientific activity, which certainly adds enthusiasm for further coordinated work! Science is stronger than war!” – commented the Rector, Chairman of the Academic Council, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

The Academic Council also adopted recommendations for the publication of the collection of scientific papers “Navigation and Communication Management Systems” No. 3 and approved the work plan for the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.

It should be recalled that three young scientists of the Poltava Polytechnic are participating in the “Young Scientist of the Year” competition, and the innovative activities of the university were presented at the 32nd annual conference-exhibition of the European Association of International Education in Barcelona.
