Active Youth Community in cooperation with Development and Initiative invites participants to a cool training for active youth of Ukraine on the topic of peacebuilding and conflict resolution with the support of the Council of Europe on October 23-29, 2023 in the city of Pustomyty, Lviv region. The language of the training is Ukrainian.
The training course “Building bridges towards peace” will bring together 24 youth leaders, representatives of public organizations and youth workers, volunteers, active youth of the western regions of Ukraine to improve their awareness of peacebuilding, conflict prevention and resolution, and nonviolent communication. Participants are expected to develop local initiatives to be implemented in their communities after the training.
The project includes such activities as preparation, implementation – a training course, a campaign in social networks and local meetings of community participants. In addition to the topic of peace, part of the training course will be devoted to familiarization with the activities, main values and tools of the Council of Europe and the European Youth Foundation.
The main goal of this project is to provide basic knowledge and skills of peacebuilding and conflict resolution to active young people living in the western regions of Ukraine.
The following are invited to participate:
- active youth aged 18 to 25;
- students, representatives of public organizations, youth councils, youth centers, active youth, volunteers of the city of Lviv and the Lviv, Volyn, Rivne, Poltava, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia regions. Including young people who moved from other regions of Ukraine and currently live in the regions listed above.
- youth interested in peacebuilding and conflict resolution;
- young people interested in non-formal education projects, especially at the level of their city and region;
- young people who are ready for active changes and are ready to organize a local event in their community after participating in the training.

Pay attention! Due to certain discrepancies with the application form, we clarify that young people from Poltava and Poltava region can apply for participation in the training.
Selection results: within 1 week after the deadline, all applicants will receive the results by e-mail. Refusals will be sent as well.
According to the rules of the program, accommodation, food and all necessary materials during the project are provided by the organizers. The money for the tickets will be compensated after the project. Participation in the project is free.
All project participants will receive a training participant certificate with the support of the Council of Europe.
