"Each of us joins the forthcoming victory – someone at the front with a weapon in their hands, someone in the rear, helping our soldiers. The "Brave Hryvnia" campaign is a good opportunity to contribute to the victory, even if it is only 10 kopiykas," – notes the National Bank.
National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" conducts a "mobilization" of coins and invites you to participate in the "Brave Hryvnia" charity campaign, aimed at raising funds to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, more than 14 billion coins worth more than 5 billion hryvnias are in circulation. A significant number of exchangeable coins, in particular coins with a denomination of 10 kopiykas. (28.5% of the total number of coins in circulation) and 50 kopiykas. (9.3% of the total) is often not used by citizens for cash payments and lies in piggy banks or pockets.
At the same time, these funds can help Ukrainian defenders protect the country from the russian invaders. UAH 5 billion is approximately 70 modern BAYRAKTAR drones, or 25 HIMARS multiple rocket artillery systems, or 50 T-90 tanks, or 150 infantry fighting vehicles.
One can send coins to the front through the boxes installed in the Poltava Polytechnic campuses (one in the lobby of the central building and six more boxes in the dean’s offices of educational and research institutes and faculties). Coins in denominations of 10, 50 kopiykas and 1, 2, 5, 10 hryvnias are accepted.
The collection of coins will last from October 3 to October 16, 2022. All funds raised will be transferred to the needs of the Ukrainian army.
