Chairman of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine Andrii Novak is to give a lecture for Polytechnic scientists and students

On November 22, political scientist, public figure, chairman of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine Andrii Novak will give an open lecture "How to raise the Ukrainian economy after our Victory. What should be the Ukrainian "Marshall plan" for students as well as scientific and pedagogical staff of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic".

As part of the signed agreements on scientific and educational cooperation of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" with state financial institutions, business brands and cooperation with stakeholders in the field of mastering additional professional competencies by graduates, an open lecture "How to raise the Ukrainian economy after our Victory. What should be the Ukrainian "Marshall plan" will be read for students, teachers and scientists of Poltava Polytechnic by a well-known economist, political scientist, public figure, chairman of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine Andrii Novak.

Knowledge, experience and hard work are the key to the successful economic recovery of our country," – commented Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Iryna Krekoten.

About the speaker: Andrii Novak is a well-known Ukrainian economist, scientist, political scientist, public activist, author of the book "How to raise the Ukrainian economy", which currently has three reprints.

A graduate of the European University in Kyiv, in 1993 he successfully graduated from the Canadian business school of the University of Western Ontario, simultaneously participating in the "Learn by Working" program.

In 1997-2001, he studied at the postgraduate school of the Research Finance Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Candidate of Economic Sciences, defended his dissertation on the topic "Interrelationship of tax-budgetary and monetary-credit levers in the policy of economic growth of Ukraine" at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In 2002-2003, he worked as the head of the financial department of the Ukroboron Service SE of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in 2003-2004 he was a consultant at the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. From 2004 to 2005, he worked as head of the public relations department of the "Obolon" company, in 2005-2006, as an adviser to the Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Yuliia Tymoshenko and Yurii Yekhanurov. In 2007, he became a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

2006 - 2010 – chairman of the Economic Council of the "Successful Ukraine" NGO, in 2010 - 2011 – chairman of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine. In 2011-2012, he was vice-rector of the European University.

The developer of the model of the competitive and highly efficient Ukrainian economy formation – the Three-functional economic model of Ukraine, described in the well-known book "How to raise the Ukrainian economy". He is currently the chairman of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine.

According to Andrii Novak, the economy of any country, in particular the Ukrainian one, works on the interaction of three functions: production, sale and distribution of funds: "In order for Ukraine to start developing, the economic system needs to be changed. Any economic system is formed from two components: objective laws of the economy and a set of resources owned by the country."

The lecture will take place on November 22 at 1:30 p.m. (room 318 C).
