On May 30, an interesting cultural and artistic event took place on the main stage of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – children of scientific and pedagogical workers, university employees, students of general secondary education institutions, internally displaced persons watched the interactive charity performance “Wednesday. Continuation”, based on the well-known TV series.
As part of the large all-Ukrainian tour, the organizers, represented by the founder of the public organization “IDPs of Ukraine”, a member of the Supervisory Board of Poltava Polytechnic Maksym Tkachenko and the creative team of the “Kvartal – Concert” company, presented the young audience a real fairy tale with favourite characters, trendy music, bright special effects and dance flash mobs.
The creative agency Children’s Show acted as producers of the show, and the inspiration for the interactive play was the talented director Olesia Izuita, who created an exclusive script for the continuation of the famous series. Young and adult viewers followed the events of a completely new interactive production with particular interest, a comedy detective with a search for the missing headmistress of the famous Nevermore Academy, the loneliness of the main character and her internal conflict with members of her own family.
This is not just a story about a fairy tale with a happy ending; it is a story of hundreds of teenagers who, often faced with obstacles and the opinion of the surrounding world, are not ready to put up with the perception of themselves by the people around them. The author, along with a new reading of the work in an easy, relaxed format, managed to preserve deep philosophical meanings, leading the attentive viewer to the conclusion – even if you think that you are alone, there will be people nearby who care about your problems.
The performance had a charitable purpose – raising funds for the construction of a shelter for young patients of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt”, everyone who wished had the opportunity to donate any amount to specially equipped boxes or purchase branded magnets, t-shirts with the image of Wednesday, thereby making their own contribution to noble cause.
