“Children Are Our Future”: a Charity Dance Multi-Festival is held at Polytechnic

On the occasion of International Children’s Day, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” hosted the Charity Dance Multi-Festival “Children Are Our Future”. The organisers created a great atmosphere and provided the performers with prizes, and the invited animators showed the children a lively and energetic dance, giving them a festive mood.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” celebrated the first day of summer with a fabulous holiday – the Charity Multi-Dance Festival “Children Are Our Future” was held on the campus on the occasion of the International Children’s Day. The organiser of the competition was the head of the public organisation “Dance Union of Poltava Region” Yevhenii Bronnikov.

Traditionally, the competition started with the pledge to the National Flag – the participants observed a Minute of Silence in memory of the servicemen and civilians who died as a result of the criminal actions of the aggressor country on the territory of our country.

The participants of the dance performance were greeted by the guests of honour, rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Head of the separate structural subdivisions of NGO “Sports Student Union of Ukraine” and Ukrainian Federation of Student Sports in the Poltava Region, Doctor of Economics, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko with Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lina Rybalko.

“Dear children, dear parents, I sincerely welcome you to the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”!

I sincerely thank Yevhen Bronnikov for many years of fruitful cooperation, who constantly surprises us with his creative ideas and continues to bring them to life, including at our university. Despite the war, we are doing everything we can to make you, children, happy. Of course, today, the first day of summer, should be remembered for positive emotions. Despite the air-raid alerts, we will move confidently towards our Victory.

I am truly thankful to the Poltava Region Dance Union for their active cooperation and for the many good, cool, positive events we organise together. We are grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who have ensured “air siren – all clear” today. Everything will be Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!” – congratulated on the holiday the head of the Polytechnic Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

Throughout the day, representatives of the dance clubs “Dancelife” (Berezan), “Agoista Dance Theatre” (Dnipro), “Prestige Club” (Krasnohrad), “Elegy” (Kremenchuk), “Avanhard” (Kropyvnytskyi), “Step by Step” (Okhtyrka), “Dance glory” (Poltava), “Drive Dance” (Poltava), “Fusion” (Poltava), “Gross-M centre” (Poltava), “SofiT” (Poltava), “Avia-Dance” (Poltava), “Accent” (Poltava), “Elegant” (Poltava), “Crystal” (Poltava), “Master Dance” (Poltava), “Natkhnennia” (Poltava), “Paradise” (Poltava), “Reverans” (Poltava), “Rhythm” (Poltava), “Tandem” (Poltava), “Festival” (Poltava), “Juventa” (Poltava), “ASTAIR DANCE” (Kharkiv), “Katrin” (Kharkiv), “Todos” (Kharkiv), “Region” Dance School (Kharkiv), “Freestyle” (Khorol), “Grand Prix” (Chutove) performed spectacularly.

The participants’ skills were assessed by a highly respected panel of judges, which included:

The chief judge was Stanislav Kuzniechykhin (Lutsk), the sports commissioner was Denys Khorishko (Poltava), and the chairman of the counting commission was Vitalii Horhol, senior teacher of the Department of Choreography and Dance Sports of Poltava Polytechnic (Poltava).

Semi-finalists and finalists of the competition were awarded with diplomas and medals.

It should be recalled that the Polytechnic organised a celebration for preschoolers on Children’s Day.

Earlier, the second All-Ukrainian sports dance competition “Rector’s Cup of Poltava Polytechnic” was held at our university.
