The main topics of the round table dedicated to the Public Service Day and the Constitution Day of Ukraine included discussing and highlighting the problems of realization and guarantees of human and citizen rights and freedoms in different fields, and the peculiarities of protecting them for informational and educational goals.
The participants of the event were the teachers of Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Managements (ERIFEM) and Poltava College of Oil and Gas of Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic, students, specialists, representatives of state governance bodies and local self-government, representatives of public organizations from various Ukrainian cities.
The coordinators of the round table were PhD in Law, Associate Professor at the Department of Public Administration and Law Olena Skrylnyk and Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Administration and Law Halyna Trehubenko. Interesting reports were presented by practicing lawyers, such as Anatolii Matsko (PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Chief Partner, Lawyer at “Advokat Matsko”, Kyiv), Iryna Ostapenko (Lawyer, Co-founder of Lawyer Association “Argos”, Poltava), Oleksandr Kovaliov (Head of “Dnipro Bureau of Juridic Help No. 1” of Dnipro Local Center of Free-Of-Charge Secondary Juridic Help, Dnipro), Tetiana Razhyk (Deputy Chief of “Poltava Bureau of Juridic Help” of Poltava Local Center of Free-Of-Charge Secondary Juridic Help, Poltava), teachers of Poltava Oil and Gas College Svitlana Kovalenko and Liudmyla Khramova.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of April, 4, 2003, No. 291/2003, Public Service Day, the professional holiday of public service workers, is celebrated annually on June, 23.
The Constitution Day of Ukraine is a state holiday in Ukraine, celebrated annually on June, 28, dedicated to the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine in 1996.
