During the opening ceremony of the VI International Industry Forum, the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University, Doctor of Engineering Mustafa Babanli greeted the participants of the forum. The speaker presented the main fields of cooperation with our Polytechnic and the further plans in terms of the pandemic.
“It is an honor to greet our partners and the participants of the forum on behalf of the team of our university. Our partnership with National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” started in 2017. Over these years, we have managed to visit each other, visit the cities - Baku and Poltava, and discuss the fields of cooperation between our higher education institutions.
“Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic changed our plans, influenced the process of building partner contacts, but we will keep working in this direction. I hope for continuing the cooperation offline, because our countries hold great work on fighting the pandemic. We can see improvements in the situation in Kyiv and Baku, so I hope we will soon be able to visit forums offline.
“Over the lockdown, we have achieved certain developments in online education field, so we would like to share our specialists’ contacts with our friends from Poltava Polytechnic. We will keep cooperating in education. We have great plans, and we hope for their successful realization,” Rector Mustafa Babanli emphasized.
Rector of Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic Volodymyr Onyshchenko thanked his colleague for keeping the partnership despite the pandemic and for exchanging the scientific achievements.

The delegation of the representatives of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” visited Baku in May, 2018, and met the administration of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University for a professional visit. During this visit the agreement on founding the first Ukrainian-Azerbaijani joined training of undergraduates in a double-diploma program for the students of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies was signed. The partners have since been working on the joined programs in the oil and gas field, academic exchange for the students and teachers, the double diplomas, and the cooperation of the structural subdivisions of the universities.
Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko also invited the delegates of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University to the II International Industry Forum held at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, as a leader of oil and gas education, is going to extend the list of educational programs for cooperating with partners, involving colleagues from Azerbaijan in the introduction of dual education and exchanging practical experience.
