“Diia” Support Team: Polytechnic students volunteer at vaccination centers

Visitors of vaccination centers in Poltava can be vaccinated with the two-dose vaccine from COVID-19 and receive, after the appropriate procedure, a national or international certificate of vaccination. Among the most common problems faced by Poltava residents of all ages are technical errors that do not allow generating a certificate in the mobile application “Diia” (“Action”).

Students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” supported the initiative and became voluntary assistants to health workers in the city vaccination centers, working in offline support points “Diia”. Every day from 10:00 to 17:00 student volunteers work in four vaccination centers.

“The Department of Health of the Poltava Regional State Administration turned to our university and the Students’ Self-Government for help, offering to join the “Diia” support team. From December 3, students of the volunteer group of Poltava Polytechnic joined the project of vaccination centers assistance and help citizens to use the “Diia” app: log in, eliminate errors, generate and download COVID-certificates.

At the moment, there are a lot of difficulties related to the technical issues of the app. We are happy to help solve current problems. In our opinion, vaccination is the most effective way to protect oneself against COVID-19 and really saves the lives and maintains the health of citizens. We believe that such experience will contribute to the successful realization of modern youth’s aspirations to be useful to Ukrainian society,” – commented the President of the Student Parliament of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Liudmyla Bylym.

According to the volunteers of Poltava Polytechnic, such experience of social activity and civic responsibility motivates them to be honest in the performance of their duties.

For technical support ask the volunteers of Poltava Polytechnic in the vaccination centers at:

  • Poltava, Zinkivska Street, 6/1 A (“Kyiv” Shopping and Entertainment Center, 3rd floor);
  • Poltava, Kovpaka Street, 26 (“Equator” Shopping and Entertainment Center, near “Igroland” shop);
  • Poltava, Yevropeiska Street, 60A (“Concord” Shopping and Entertainment Center);
  • Poltava, Ivana Mazepy Street, 21 (MI “Poltava Regional Clinical Medical Cardiovascular Center of Poltava Regional Council”).

Previously, the coordinator of the vaccination campaign from COVID-19 in Poltava region met with polytechnic students; Poltava Polytechnic joined the program “Diia.QR”; university students handed over gifts to patients of the pediatric hematology oncology department and presented the successful experience of volunteering and charity during the online fair.
