Within the framework of the XVIII Science Festival, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” hosted the VIII Scientific and Practical Conference “Economic Security: State, Region, Enterprise”, organised by the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” together with domestic and foreign institutions. The conference is held in cooperation with leading universities of Ukraine and abroad.

The conference was attended by representatives of 10 higher education institutions from 7 regions of Ukraine (including Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National Technical University “KhPI”, Odesa National University, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Sumy State University), scientific, financial institutions, governmental bodies and business environment from Ukraine, Poland, Great Britain, Estonia, Azerbaijan, and brought together more than 100 participants.

“Combining the interests of government, business and academia provides the conference with practical value and allows us to constructively discuss economic security issues and ways to solve them.

The war in Ukraine has caused four types of social losses: human, material, economic and environmental. The size of these losses and risks are constantly growing and are estimated at billions of hryvnias every day. Given the negative macroeconomic consequences for the Ukrainian economy, investment potential, and the destruction of infrastructure, one of the most important tasks now is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the crisis and explore ways to recover. I am confident that this conference will be of interest to business and government, and that the proposals of the participants will be implemented in practice.”
