From October 4 to 19, employees of the Department of Town Planning and Architecture of Poltava City Council, Poltava City Department of Land Resources and Land Cadastre as well as the Department of Registration studied and enhanced their skills online in special short-term programs based on their professional interests. Professional development courses and trainings for officials were conducted by scientific and pedagogical staff of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
“We continue to successfully implement the Memorandum of Cooperation between Poltava City Council and Poltava Polytechnic, in particular in the field of professional development of departments’ officials, divisions and services of our city. The coaching team of the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law, Department of Management and Logistics, Department of Architecture and Town Planning, Department of Construction and Civil Engineering of Poltava Polytechnic trained employees of the Department of Town Planning and Architecture of Poltava City Council, Poltava City Department of Land Resources and Land Cadastre, Department of Registration for several thematic programs.
In particular, Department of Registration employees upgraded their professional level through two special short-term programs – “Prevention of Corruption” and “Time Management”. Within the framework of the program “Prevention of Corruption” lecturers of the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law raised the professional competencies of officials in the field of legal and organizational principles of preventing corruption, detecting and stopping its manifestations, elimination of the consequences of corruption, formed skills and abilities to combat and prevent corruption as an integral part of the process of reforming the public administration system of Ukraine, etc.
The basics of planning their own professional activities were mastered by the employees of the Registration Department within the program “Time Management”, implemented by the coaches of the Department of Management and Logistics of Poltava Polytechnic.
Officials of the Department of Town Planning and Architecture of Poltava City Council developed their skills in four thematic programs based on professional interests – “Leadership and effective communication”, “Prevention of corruption”, “Modern requirements for new construction, operation and reconstruction of buildings and edifices” along with “The role of local governments in the development of urban documentation at the local level as well as project documentation for construction” (thematic block “Legislative principles of spatial planning at the level of local communities, the introduction of new methods of designing buildings and edifices”).
Under the program “Modern requirements for new construction, operation and reconstruction of buildings and edifices”, implemented by lecturers of the Department of Construction and Civil Engineering, attendees were introduced to modern requirements for the construction of various facilities and the existing legal framework.
Within the program “The role of local governments in the development of urban documentation at the local level as well as project documentation for construction”, implemented by lecturers of the Department of Architecture and Town Planning, listeners mastered modern practical cases of project documentation development at all stages of construction.
Employees of Poltava City Department of Land Resources and Land Cadastre mastered their professional skills in four thematic programs – “Leadership and effective communication”, “Prevention of corruption”, “The role of local governments in the development of urban planning documentation at the local level as well as project documentation for construction” (thematic block “Legislative principles of spatial planning at the level of territorial communities, implementation of the latest methods of designing buildings and edifices”) and “Change management”.
The process of professional development for officials of the Capital Construction Department of the Poltava City Executive Committee and the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Executive Committee of the Poltava City Council is currently underway.
Earlier, 27 Poltava City Council officials received Certificates of Professional Development.
