Today, the reconstruction of cities, the creation of a comfortable urban environment, the digitalisation of geospatial data, and the implementation of innovative, energy-efficient building technologies represent vital priorities for Ukraine. A European-standard education and direct engagement with cutting-edge EU practices provide Ukrainian youth with unprecedented opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
As part of the celebration of the pan-European initiative #ErasmusDays2026, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” invites higher education students of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management to a large-scale informational presentation meeting “Erasmus+ for Space Creators: Architecture, Design, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy”, dedicated to international academic mobility programmes.

Students from other faculties and institutes, prospective applicants, and all individuals interested in learning more about international educational opportunities are also warmly invited!
Who will address the audience?
The event will be held in the format of an open dialogue, where every attendee will be able to receive comprehensive answers to all questions – from preparing an application to daily life abroad:
Anna Pavelieva, International Relations Coordinator at Poltava Polytechnic, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, will provide detailed guidance on the official procedures. She will outline how to identify current mobility calls in architecture and engineering fields, assemble a correct application package, coordinate an individual Learning Agreement, and successfully pass the competitive selection process while overcoming the language barrier.
Our students who have recently returned from semester-long exchange programmes at European partner universities will share their firsthand experiences. They will provide insights into working in cutting-edge foreign architectural workshops, materials testing laboratories, and BIM hubs, as well as the realities of daily life in Europe, receiving grant allowances, coping with initial challenges, and how their international academic background already supports them in developing practical projects for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
What will be discussed at the meeting?
The agenda is structured without dry theory – offering clear instructions, systematic guidelines, and practical recommendations to help you initiate your international academic mobility:
Partnership geography for engineers, architects, and surveyors: which European technical and polytechnic universities are accepting applications for the upcoming semester specifically for ERI of ACELM students.
Financial independence (Erasmus+ grant): how to obtain full grant funding that guarantees tuition-free education, covers travel and living expenses, and provides a monthly European subsistence stipend (€1,150+ per month).
Architectural and engineering portfolios that open doors: practical approaches to presenting design and technical projects (BIM, CAD, sketching, visualisations), composing a standardized European CV (Europass), and drafting a persuasive motivation letter for the selection committee.
Language proficiency and confidence in the selection process: the actual language proficiency level required (B1–B2), where to acquire valid language proficiency certificates, and how to successfully complete an interview even when experiencing imposter syndrome.
Studying without academic arrears: a step-by-step procedure for formulating an individual study plan (Learning Agreement) and the seamless credit transfer process according to the ECTS system at Poltava Polytechnic.
Open microphone and Q&A session: an analysis of frequent mistakes in application forms, practical advice on finding accommodation abroad, and direct interaction with peers who have recently returned from European partner campuses.
