It should be recalled that cooperation between scientific and pedagogical workers, students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and the Red Cross Society of Ukraine continues – a scientific and educational training was held for teachers and students of the University's Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law. Earlier, specialists of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine conducted effective communication trainings for students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of Poltava Polytechnic and training on risk management during emergency situations for the university’s staff.
On October 28, 2023, at the Center for Contemporary Art of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", specialists of the Poltava city organization of the Red Cross Society conducted the training "Skills of effective communication as a tool of responsible leadership. Teamwork" with the aim of improving communication skills and determining the qualities of effective leadership for team-building.
The participants of the training were bachelor’s and master’s students majoring in 292 International Economic Relations, 072 Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market, 051 Economics, 073 Management, 075 Marketing and 081 Law of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of Poltava Polytechnic.
During the training, the students got acquainted with the basic principles of communication theory, identified and characterized types of human behavior and characters, analyzed effective models of response in conflict situations, developed basic teamwork skills and determined effective leadership qualities, skills of organizing work in a team.
Interesting life hacks, various communication techniques, and lively informal communication motivated the participants to be more active when performing team tasks, confidently express their own opinions and share the acquired practical experience.
"The practical experience gained will certainly be useful for future professionals in building business and personal relationships, forming their leadership qualities. I am convinced that all participants were charged with a positive mood and received the necessary practical skills. In the future, it is planned to participate in new interesting trainings and practice building effective communication strategies," – commented Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Iryna Levchenko.
At the end of the event, the participants exchanged their impressions and agreed on further productive cooperation.
Recently, a scientist of the ERI FEML took part in a round table session dedicated to the training of public servants in the context of Ukraine’s European integration, and the methodological fund of the PAL Department was replenished with scientific publications on criminal procedure law.
