During August 18-29, 2022, scientific, educational and academic events were held as part of the international project "Familiensprachschule", organized by the public organization "International Society of Germans of Ukraine – Wiedergeburt" headed by Volodymyr Pinkovskyi. A fruitful scientific, educational and intercultural exchange took place at the initiative of the Council of Germans of Ukraine and with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Construction and Integrated Territorial Development of Germany through the Charitable Foundation "Development Society".
National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" was represented by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Tetiana Kushnirova, who became an active participant in the project and gained additional professional skills and competencies.
As part of the implementation of the project, the participants had the opportunity to learn German in different age groups using the latest non-formal learning methods. The project program included an optimal combination of the German language and culture, local history and the study of national identity with a variety of German-language games, creative activities, lectures, individual communication with a psychologist, communication between participants, exchange of experiences, meeting new people, and excursions to Zakarpattia.
Classes at the highest level using the latest modern methods were conducted by certified teachers of the public organization "German Youth of Zakarpattia" (leader – Yuliia Taips), Vitalii Kabatsii and Oksana Lizanets. In a light and relaxed manner, certain topics related to the national identity of Germany as one of the countries of the European Union, its administrative and territorial structure, national cuisine, music, traditions, etc. were discussed in the daily classes.
Listeners analyzed German sayings and proverbs, selected Ukrainian analogues, studied German folklore, recalled ancient legends, etc. On the Independence Day of Ukraine, the participants enthusiastically performed the national anthem of Ukraine, translated into German, and studied the peculiarities of the translation of the Ukrainian text into German. The apotheosis of the project was the staging of the fairy tales "Little Red Riding Hood", "The Glove", "The Man" in German, the participants actively performed the tasks and explored the peculiarities of German culture with interest.
According to Tetiana Kushnirova, education and science never stand still, subtly reacting to societal changes and challenges. It is impossible to imagine the portrait of a modern teacher, scientist and linguist researcher without constant readiness to learn new things, study linguistic and phonetic phenomena and draw inspiration from the literary and cultural wealth of the countries of the world.
"The new time requires new knowledge, so it is especially urgent at the moment to study foreign languages, which will enable faster and more productive integration into European society. Such powerful educational projects give an opportunity to believe in one's own strength and absorb information in an interesting game form, which motivates one to work and study further," – commented the scientist.
The participants of the "Familiensprachschule" project express their sincere gratitude to the head of the public organization "International Society of Germans of Ukraine – Wiedergeburt" Volodymyr Pinkovskii and the head of the public organization "German Youth of Zakarpattia" Yuliia Taips, teachers Vitalii Kabatsii and Oksana Lizanets for the excellent organization and content of the project.
It should be recalled that Professor Tetiana Kushnirova became a laureate of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Prize.
Recently, a family exhibition of one of the most famous creative families of Ukraine – the Piliuhiny – was opened in the Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery) named after Mykola Yaroshenko.
Previously, the scientist of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation completed training under the program "Active Citizens" from the British Council in Ukraine, was elected as a coordinator of external communications at the European Council of Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists, was a member of the jury of the competition of scientific projects on academic integrity and participated in the "Spring school of young scientist 2.0".
