On June 13, at the Center for Contemporary Art of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" the finissage of the exhibition "The Outcrops" by the American artist of Ukrainian origin, geologist, abstract artist, Director of Exploration and Production of the Naftogaz Group Max Vityk, which was exhibited as part of a charitable art project "History of Planet Earth", took place. It should be recalled that the co-organizers of the charity art project were partner companies JSC "UkrGasVydobuvannya", UGV-service, Weatherford Ukraine LLC and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

The solemn closing ceremony of Max Vityk's charity art project "The History of Planet Earth" was attended by strategic partners of the university – specialists of the JSC "Ukrtransnafta", led by the head of the Department of Recruitment, Training, Evaluation and Development of personnel of the Department of HR, Iryna Malchevska, who were present that day with a working visit to the Poltava Polytechnic, directors, deans of structural subdivisions, academic staff and university students, who shared pleasant impressions of contemplating the paintings made in a unique author's technique.

"I am convinced that our further creative plans will be successfully implemented and their realization will be appreciated by the visitors of this unique art project called "History of Planet Earth", the exhibition, which caused incredible impressions to all who visited it.

I remember when we first met with Max Vityk in Kyiv, the dream of bringing such an exhibition to a regional university seemed impossible, but it turned out to be within the power of the Poltava Polytechnic and we worked perfectly for such an incredible result.

For the second month, the exhibition has been on display at the Center for Contemporary Art of the university, where students of various specialties, teachers and employees have the opportunity to touch the highly spiritual, the culture, the art and get a moment of absolute immersion in the unique world of the artist," – commented the rector of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

The moderator of the finissage was the Head of the Department of Fine Arts of the Poltava Polytechnic, Candidate of Art History Tetiana Zinenko, who shared her own impressions of the daily contemplation of artistic masterpieces.

According to the art critic, today's finissage is a continuation, not an end, which, given the difficult challenges of today, is extremely important.

It should be noted that the Center of Contemporary Art of the Poltava Polytechnic exhibited a series of author's works called "The Outcrops", inspired by the author's contemplation of rock outcrops caused by natural erosion and human activity. The format and size of the canvases are impressive, because as the artist himself said at the opening of the exhibition, the large-scale contemplation of the author's idea attracts him much more than the small format. Max Vityk draws inspiration for creating paintings from Ukraine, having returned after searching for himself in the United States of America, the Netherlands, and Egypt.

In addition to the artistic and charitable purpose, this exhibition achieved the most important thing – it united people’s hearts, becoming a powerful center of pleasant emotions. After all, as noted by the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management, Doctor of Architecture Vadim Vadimov, art unites, inspires and encourages, washing away any boundaries.

A student of specialty 103 "Earth Sciences" of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the Poltava Polytechnic Mariia Zaitseva shared her positive impressions of the exhibition and described her first encounter with the paintings. According to a young admirer of Max Vityk's talent, each canvas seems to transport us to the corresponding geological era.

"The variety of colors, the technique of execution, the detailing of each element is simply amazing. This is an incredibly successful combination of fine art and geology, which fascinates at first glance," – said the student.

It should be noted that during the exhibition of the art project from May 18 to June 2, the "The Outcrops" exhibition was visited by 1,217 fans of fine art, including people's deputies of Ukraine, rectors of partner universities, scientists, representatives of the top management of oil and gas companies, student youth of various structural subdivisions of the university, students of general secondary education institutions, lyceums of Poltava. The cozy hall of the Center of Contemporary Art has become a key location for artistic discussions, lectures, and contemplation of the geological epochs of our planet’s development, engraved in the large-scale colorful paintings of Max Vityk.

And all the funds collected during the exhibition will go to support courageous Ukrainian defenders who are defending our territorial integrity and independence at the cost of their own lives.

It should be recalled that the opening ceremony of Max Vityk's charitable art project "History of Planet Earth" was held at the Polytechnic.

Earlier, the university hosted the XI Open Charity Sports Dance Festival, a charity interactive performance based on the popular TV series "Wednesday", and delegations from two leading partner universities paid a working visit to the Poltava Polytechnic.
