On October 15, 2022, the ISKA Kickboxing Open Championships "Battle of Poltava" was held in the regional center, dedicated to important public holidays – the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine. The participants of the sports tournament were already titled athletes and young disciples of sports clubs of the city of Poltava, who demonstrated the will to win in fierce confrontations with experienced opponents.
Pavlo Korobov, a student of group 103-FS of the specialty 017 "Physical culture and sports" of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", won four gold medals, showing the best result in several disciplines.
We sincerely congratulate the athlete on his victory, we are proud of him, we wish him good health, significant personal achievements and inspiration in conquering the peaks of the sports Olympus!
It should be recalled that student Mykhailo Serdiuk became the bronze medalist of the World Cup in martial arts among students and the champion of the European Universities Games-2022, student Anthony Jirkins became the silver medalist of the European Universities Games-2022.
Previously, a student of the FPCS won five medals of the Rowing Championships of Ukraine on the “Dragon” boats and became a bronze medalist at the Dragon Boat World Championships, Polytechnic student Nikita Solovei became a gold medalist of the Open Championships in military sports all-around, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won a set of awards of the Canoeing and Kayaking Championships of Ukraine, and the student of the National Institute of Oil and Gas became the world champion in powerlifting among female junior.
