The representatives of Psychology and Pedagogy Department of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Svitlana Yalanska (Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Head of Psychology and Pedagogy Department), Nataliia Saiko (Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor), Nina Atamanchuk (PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor), Yurii Horbenko (PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor), Lesia Klevaka (PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor), Oleksandr Kornilov (Senior Assistant) and the students of Faculty of Sports joined an informative and educational event titled “From Knowledge to Safety” realized within Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations, an international project supported by the AIDS Foundation East-West.
Svitlana Yalanska, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Head of Psychology and Pedagogy Department of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, spoke about the complex activity of the leading higher education of our region, winner of many education fairs and the Leader of Innovation in Education.
“2020 has become landmark for our university, as our higher education institution celebrates the 90th anniversary of its foundation at the state level, highlighting the 200-year-long history of education and science traditions. University students are young, hard-working, initiative and creative; they eagerly participate in scientific, educational and volunteering activities.
“Psychology and Pedagogy Department was created not so long ago, but we have already done a lot. Students will soon be able to study at specializations No. 053 Psychology and 012 Pre-School Education. The psychological studio “Way to Success” is functioning at the department, and during its meetings students and teachers discuss important issues of self-development and formation of a harmoniously developed personality. We are thankful for the possibility to join the event, and invite you to Poltava Polytechnic!” Svitlana Yalnaska said.
School students from Poltava and Kremenchuk took part in such sections of the event as “Safety Circle”, “Legal Quizzes”, “The Ways of Contracting AIDS”, “Myths and Facts about Health”.
The quest was initiated by Poltava Oblast Charitable Fund “Public Health” represented by Nataliia Zlatopolska, the Regional Center for Providing Free-of-Charge Secondary Legal Help in Poltava Oblast and other charitable organizations from Poltava and Kharkiv.
Students and Teachers of Psychology and Pedagogy Department of Faculty of Sports of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” are thankful to all the organizers and participants of the quest for friendly and warm atmosphere!
