Future professionals learn about international auditing practices by taking an online course from the network of independent auditing and consulting companies Nexia DK

Despite the introduction of martial law and active hostilities on the territory of our country, the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, as one of the best multidisciplinary classical universities of our country, continues to create comfortable conditions for the all-round harmonious development of the future professionals’ personalities and motivate the proactive student youth of the Poltava Polytechnic take an active part in a wide variety of scientific and educational events. By popularizing non-formal education, students and graduates of financial specialties systematically increase their competitiveness in the modern labour market.

From April 20 to May 3, 2023, students of specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation” of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Ilona Kopaihora, Karina Ladatko, Anastasiia Lutsenko, Anastasiia Ladatko, Daryna Nosenko and Tetiana Sokolenko actively “levelled up” their practical skills and increased their own professional competences while studying at the author’s free online course “Auditor and Professional Accountant” from the subdivision of a full member of the Forum of Firms (FoF) of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the leading global network of independent audit and of consulting companies Nexia International – Nexia DK Auditors & Consultants, which was conducted on the basis of ACCA materials.

During the training, future specialists in the field of accounting and taxation learned about the role of management and financial accounting in business, mastered international auditing methods, gained applied and useful knowledge for entering the profession, learned life hacks for using Excel, and analysed engaging cases together with certified professional auditors.

Developed by specialists of the leading global network of independent auditing and consulting companies Nexia International – Nexia DK Auditors & Consultants, the author’s course involves mastering an intensive program based on the course from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in a combination of Ukrainian practice and international experience.

The course will be useful for students of 3-6 academic years of economic specialties and young professionals in the field of accounting and auditing. A pleasant “bonus” will be the opportunity for young university students to complete a paid internship in a company for the successful implementation of new knowledge in practice.

After completing their studies, students of the Poltava Polytechnic received certificates of completion of the course “Auditor and Professional Accountant”.

Previously, female Polytechnic students studied the activities of European business brands, studying under an academic exchange program at a Romanian university, financial students got acquainted with the current trends in the organization of banking business on the basis of branches of JSC “Sense Bank”, and scientists and students exchanged practical cases of business diagnostics of active Ukrainian and international companies under martial law.
