On August 28, Yevhenii Bohodaiko was the first to swim the men's final in the 100-meter breaststroke in CB6, starting in the top three favorites of the competition. He was ahead of his opponent – Colombian Krispin Korso by 0.06 seconds and took revenge for the defeat at the World Cup.

He is one of the most experienced swimmers in the Ukrainian national team. In 2012 and 2016, he became the champion in this very 100-meter breaststroke.
Honored master of sports of Ukraine in swimming, twice awarded the Order of Merit of the II degree, six-time champion and seven-time winner of the Summer Paralympic Games was building a successful competitive career yet while studying at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
