For the third year in a row, the Ukrainian people have been celebrating one of the most important national holidays – the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine – in the context of the brutal full-scale war waged by russia against the freedom-loving Ukrainian nation.
These days, more than ever, we, the citizens of Ukraine, are aware of the importance and significance of state sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of our homeland. The blue and yellow flag has become not only a visual manifestation of the nation’s face, but also a symbol of unbreakable strength, fortitude, resilience and faith in victory.
The Day of the National Flag embodies the memory of the people about the centuries-old history of our freedom-loving ancestors’ struggle for their independent free state. Thousands of generations have sacrificed the most important thing – their lives – for the sake of establishing a sovereign Ukraine. And now our brave Defenders and Defendresses are fighting a righteous battle against the hateful enemy for their motherland Ukraine, for their families, for Ukrainian traditions and democratic values of a true European state.
Today, we express our sincere respect to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, veterans, volunteers and all those who contribute to the defence of Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
The celebration of the National Flag is not only a restoration of historical memory, but also a powerful living tradition that inspires and unites all generations of Ukrainians for the sake of a great struggle for a bright future for their nation and state.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
