“How to become a Jedi on the information front”: students are invited to an online lecture on media literacy

Within the framework of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week, the national project “Filter” of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine invites young students to the online lecture “How to become a Jedi on the information front”. Listeners will be taught to create quality content, recognize disinformation, various types of manipulation, check the authenticity of images and the identity of the expert. Online registration for the event is available.

“How to become a Jedi on the information front”: students are invited to an online lecture on media literacy

Within the framework of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week, the national project “Filter” of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine invites young students to the online lecture “How to become a Jedi on the information front”.

At the lecture, students will learn:

  • how to create fun and educational content on the TikTok platform;
  • how to recognize disinformation and propaganda;
  • how to identify signs of manipulation;
  • how to check the authenticity of the image, the veracity of the statistics and the authenticity of the expert.

Effective life hacks will be shared with students by head of the national media literacy project “Filter” Valeriia Kovtun, an expert in working with youth of the national media literacy project “Filter” Oleksandr Pirozhkov, and the host of the TikTok platform of the national media literacy project “Filter” Anastasiia Lopina.

The date and time of the event is October 27, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
