Internally displaced persons who currently live in Poltava and have a relevant certificate may receive additional assistance from the Red Cross Society. The administration of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the campus organized the work of a voucher issuing point in the central building to facilitate access to humanitarian aid for forced IDPs.

“Now the focus is on children under the age of 17. We issue one voucher for UAH 2,200 for one child to those who have not yet received one at the office of the Poltava regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society,” – explained a volunteer of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society Lidiia Kostyhina.

A voucher for internally displaced persons enables a person to purchase essential products and cover basic needs in the amount of UAH 2,200 in the “Silpo” supermarket chain. Currently, this program is implemented in six regions: Poltava, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy. Certificates are valid until the end of December 2023.

Recently, the Gogol’s theatre actors staged a romantic fairy tale “All mice love cheese”, and the students delighted the children with sweets, and the displaced people and the mayor awarded the Polytechnic staff with Citations.
