“Innovation Laboratories-2023”: European Union Program “Creative Europe” Competition

As part of the European Union’s “Creative Europe” program, the “Innovation Laboratories-2023” competition has been announced, which will encourage representatives of miscellaneous cultural and creative sectors to develop and test innovative solutions for key tasks. The proposed projects should be aimed at supporting competitiveness, the process of greening, cooperation, and audience accessibility. The deadline for submitting projects is April 20, 2023.

“Innovation Laboratories-2023”: European Union Program “Creative Europe” Competition

The “Innovation Laboratories-2023” competition (sub-program “Intersectoral cooperation”) has been announced within the framework of the European Union's “Creative Europe” program.

This competition will encourage representatives of various cultural and creative sectors, including audio-visual, to develop and test innovative solutions for key challenges that have the potential to have a positive long-term impact on miscellaneous cultural and creative sectors. Activities should support the design, development and/or dissemination of innovative tools, models or solutions applicable in the audio-visual and other cultural and creative sectors. They should aim to support competitiveness, greening, collaboration, dissemination, visibility, accessibility, diversity and/or audience development.

The total budget of the competition: 5,438,131 euros.

Duration of the project: up to 24 months.

Deadline: April 20, 2023, 5:00 p.m. CET.

For reference: “Creative Europe” is a program of the European Union that supports the cultural and creative sectors. The purpose of the program is the protection, development and promotion of European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage, as well as increasing the competitiveness and economic potential of the cultural and creative sector, in particular the audio-visual sector. The budget of the program for 2021-2027 is 2.44 billion euros. Ukraine became a participant of the program in 2016. The National Bureau of the program is constantly operating in Ukraine, which provides consulting support to Ukrainian applicants and disseminates relevant information about the program.
